The weather has turned sour and we’re canceling our trip to Poet’s Cove this weekend. I am in too poor condition to face the gales that are predicted. We will have to schedule another time to get the propeller pitched on the boat as well since we were intending to go there from Poet’s on Monday. The satellite view of the weather shows a long line of storms funneling in from the South East. This weather should last days.

As far as my condition? I’m fatigued and weak… also “hard of thinking”. These are not good qualities if you’re going to pilot a sailboat in bad weather. So, it’s for the best that we cancel. Even though the radiation is over my cells are still “cooking” with the rays they received and probably will for another week. This means that the cumulative side effects of the radiation will continue to compound for a little while yet.

For those who are fans of the Coen brothers, the title of this post is a reference to a hilarious short in the film “The Big Lebowski”. Here’s a link to it if you want the full effect.

“Mr. Treehorn treats objects like women.”
